After a short half time break to do some spring-cleaning, PUMA Social Jozi reopened its doors on 12 April after the maddening crowds wouldn’t take ‘shutdown’ for an answer. This time around, PUMA is mixing things up with some kick ass activations taking place for the duration of PUMA Social Jozi.
Many die-hard #PUMASocialJozi fans have stood in the lengthy queue week in and out to hear some of SA’s best local talent and to experience the joys of being an After-Hours Athlete. PUMA want to give loyal partygoers a chance to skip the queue and enjoy some drinks on them through the #GetMeIn competition. Tweet a theme-related photo with #PUMASocialJozi and #GetMeIn and the three best photos of the week will win Q-skipping rights and drinks vouchers for the evening.
The guys at PUMA have also seen some serious table tennis skills being shown off since its opening last year. Enter Kings of Pong – a knockout PUMA Social Club table tennis tournament that will start on 5 July and run for 8 weeks. 16 teams will be able to participate in this grueling tournament, with each team consisting of 4 team members. Registration opens on 7 June, and it will work on a first come first serve basis, so register as soon as you can to avoid bitter disappointment. The winning team will receive R20 000 in prize money, so this one is not to be missed!
There is something for everyone at PUMA Social Club though – if you aren’t a lucky Q-skipping winner, there’s still a chance to win when you get inside. Pay the PUMA Social Claw a visit; there are lucky dips for gifts and vouchers ready to be won!
The PUMA Creative Factory mobile unit is also making its way to Jozi and will be at PUMA Social Club on selected Friday nights. PUMA fans will have the chance to design and create their own shoe using the Basket and First Round styles as a base for their unique sneakers.

To be part of the action on a Friday night, simply register at www.pumasocialjozi.com and your name will be put on a list at the door, or pay R20 when you arrive on the night. If you can’t find it, just look for the mass of Joburg trendsetters waiting patiently in the line each week.
