Col’Cacchio have relaunched the extremely popular Celebrity Chef Pizza Series in 2015, with a strongly sporting theme. How the Celebrity Chef Pizza Series works is that each month between September and November a sporting superstar will combine with a chef and include their favourite toppings on a pizza. After September saw the combination of Butch James and Masterchef winner Kamini Pather, October sees new father JP Duminy team up with Wynand van Rooyen. Col’cacchio will also donate R5 for each pizza ordered to the Childrens Hospital Trust, fundraiser for the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and Paediatric Healthcare in the Western Cape.
We have teamed up with Col’cacchio to celebrate the release of the newly named the Jammin’ Chipotle Pizza, which retails for R98. We are giving away a R500 voucher for Col’cacchio that you can use with your friends with perfect timing as the JP Duminy takes on India in a mammoth tour. All you have to do is answer a simple question:
Name one of the ingredients in the Jammin Chiptole Pizza.
You can answer this in the comments below or on Twitter in a tweet including @ATJabu and @Colcacchio
Wynand van Rooyen
Born in Duiwelskloof, Wynand van Rooyen’s passion for food started at an early age on his grandparent’s farm. The early interaction with food has a great impact on how Wynand cooks. Named as Sunday Times Chef of the Year 2011 (the youngest ever winner) and Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Concours National des Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs 2011 winner, van Rooyen is a firm believer in knowing the origin of all food and cooking hearty, authentic food.
JP Duminy
Jean Paul Duminy made his Test debut against Australia in Perth in 2008, scoring a half century as he and AB de Villiers combined for 111 runs to guide South Africa to the second highest successful run chase in Test history. Even better was to follow in his second Test at Melbourne where he turned the game on its head with an innings of 166. The left handed batsman and right-arm off break bowler plays domestic cricket for the Cape Cobras and captains the Delhi Daredevils. Duminy enjoys exploring signature dishes around the world and loves Jerk Chicken in the Caribbean.
JP lists chicken/lamb, bacon, feta, avocado and black olives as his favourite pizza toppings. The JAMMIN’ CHIPOTLE pizza combines JP’s favourite jerk chicken, mozzarella, feta, brinjal chutney, coriander, toasted coconut flakes with TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce infused tomato base. It’s perfectly paired with a refreshing Coca-Cola.
